It was a joke between friends that in 1995 led to the first use of RECARO seats as a coach’s bench. Now, a number of stadiums all over the world are equipped with such seats.

RECARO seats are not exclusively used “on the road”. The stadium seats in football arenas are the best known among all the Swabian premium seat manufacturer’s “non-car seats”.

In 1995, 1. FC Kaiserslautern’s then coach, Friedel Rausch, got the first RECARO coach’s seat from a friend, RECARO partner Ulrich Putsch, just for fun. The team, however, wanted to share that luxury, which meant there soon was a RECARO players’ bench, too.

Worldwide collaborations with football clubs ensued, for example with Real Madrid or Manchester United auf RECARO. Fifty stadiums all over the world are now equipped with RECARO players’ benches.

As a medium-sized company, RECARO lives its social responsibility for its customers and staff. Therefore, the seat manufacturer from the south of Germany uses its stadium projects for relief projects for children run by Jürgen Klinsmann’s foundation Agapedia. This foundation has the objective of giving poor children in need a future through sustainable local projects run by its own staff. Hundreds of children have already benefited from this work.
