The next generation: Recaro Child Safety launches the new Young Sport Hero

As a multi-stage seat for the ECE group I/II/III the Young Sport Hero is suitable for children from approximately nine months up to twelve years. Its predecessor was sold over a million times and is especially popular because of the long usage and ease of handling. The Recaro Young Sport Hero is an evolution in terms of safety. The integrated belt system with the innovative Hero technology and the optimized side impact protection make the Recaro bestsellers even better.

The height-adjustable headrest always allows an optimal adaptation to the child’s body height. The removable insert cushion provides additional support for smaller children. Until about 4.5 years or 18 kilograms children are secured with the integrated five-point harness, which now features the Recaro Hero system. The safety concept combines shoulder pads, belts and headrest into one unit. This prevents twisting of the straps, ensures optimum fit and makes it easier for parents to secure their child. Sensitive areas of skin on the neck and face are well protected thanks to the special belt covers and slipping or cutting is prevented. Well padded shoulder straps minimize the risk of injury in the event of a frontal impact. From group II, the harness is removed and the child is secured with the vehicle seat belt.

The side impact protection of the Young Sports Hero has been improved as well. Lateral energy absorbers reduce the forces of a side impact and the molded foam in the hip, shoulder and head area provides extra protection. The large side bolsters provide for continuous lateral protection even with a fully extended headrest.

Child seat and strollers made by Recaro are setting new standards in terms of design, functionality, comfort and safety. In February the company introduces the Young Sport Hero to the market; the next generation of safety.
